Export Adyen to DATEVBalance Platform transactions, fees & payouts – without the reporting marathon
Adyen is built for scale – and for finance teams, not for DATEV. finHero reads your Adyen Balance Platform transactions directly via the API and turns them into an import-ready booking batch for DATEV, BMD, bexio or Abacus, including fees, payouts and a receipt list.
The problem
Adyen reports are for analysts, not for the accounts
Adyen's reporting is powerful – but it delivers settlement details, Balance Platform movements and a dozen fee types in formats that fit no chart of accounts. Anyone bringing that to DATEV every month is effectively building a small data project.
VAT data per transaction? Not a chance. So the allocation lands back on a human – error-prone, time-consuming and hard to audit.
Report sprawl
Balance Platform movements and settlement batches first have to become postings.
Many fee types
Separating processing, scheme and interchange fees cleanly costs hours.
No VAT breakdown
Without tax data per transaction, allocation stays manual work.
| Amount € | Account | Contra account | Booking text |

| 4,20 | 6855 | 1812 | Adyen fee |

How finHero books Adyen
Every Adyen transaction – cleanly booked
Balance Platform transactions
Payments, refunds and reversals are read via the Balance Platform API of the specified Balance Account ID and booked individually.
Fees & payouts separated
Fee transactions go to the fee account, payouts of the bank category to the money transit account – traceable down to the PSP reference.
Read access only
finHero needs read access to your transactions only – no access to your money, no changes in Adyen.
Adyen provides no VAT information per transaction. finHero therefore books revenue to your freely selectable default revenue account (e.g. 4400). Without a stored account, finHero collects it on the clearing account, so your firm assigns the correct VAT once.
